Ports in New York
New York City
The once famous passenger ship piers on the Hudson are now but a shadow of themselves. They serve only occasional cruise ships and the tour boats around Manhattan.
The Port of New York and New Jersey, however, is still one of the most active ports in the world. The cargo piers are located on the Brooklyn side, on Staten Island and the New Jersey side, which has a huge state-of-the art container port and oil terminals.
